This award-winning indigenous eco-tourism development in Far North Queensland is one of Australia’s most iconic Aboriginal experiences; the Ngadiku Dreamtime Walks. The rainforest walk experience is complemented by the visitor centre facilities, including café, art gallery and gift shop, all of which support the centre’s highly successful Indigenous training and employment program.

In addition to the visitor centre, the project provided the eco shuttle transit centre, car and bicycle parking, and residential accommodation to support indigenous student participation in accessing the industry standard hospitality and tourism training facility.

Ridgemill’s input included management of the construction contract, and undertaking an assessment of contractor resources, along with implementing an injection of resources to expedite completion of the project. Careful consideration was given to environmental management, given the highly significant, sensitive ecological project environment.
